Couple Reminder support
A few checks to get your shared reminders back on track.
A timed reminder did not arrive
- Allow notifications for Couple Reminder in your phone settings.
- Check that notifications are enabled for the shared space on each phone. Assigning responsibility does not change who can receive timed alerts.
- Check Focus, Do Not Disturb, and battery restrictions. Open the app and review notification readiness in your profile.
- Try Send test notification in the app. A successful test checks notification delivery, not location permission.
A location reminder did not trigger
Location alerts happen on the phone entering the saved area. Your partner entering that area does not trigger an arrival notification on your phone.
- Enable location alerts for the reminder and allow background location access when prompted.
- Check the saved circle and its radius, notification permission, and your phone’s background or battery restrictions.
- The operating system decides when it detects a boundary crossing. A reminder may not appear immediately, and saving a circle while already inside it is not a reliable test.

We cannot join the same space
Both people need the app and an internet connection. Open the invitation for the intended space and scan it from Join with code or QR. Allow camera access, or use the eight-character code instead. Use a current invitation if an older one has been revoked.

A reminder is missing on the other phone
Check that both devices are online and in the same shared space. Offline edits stay on the device until they sync. Reopen the app on each phone and allow time to reconnect. Do not reinstall as a first troubleshooting step: anonymous accounts may be difficult to recover after device data is removed.
Data and privacy questions
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete shared cloud data. Read how app data and optional website analytics are handled, or contact us about access or deletion.

Is Couple Reminder free?
Yes. Couple Reminder is free with ads on iPhone and Android. No subscription is required.
Do we need to sign up?
No email or password is required. The app creates an anonymous account in the background to connect your device to shared spaces. Both people need the app and an internet connection to create or join a space.
Can we share reminders between iPhone and Android?
Couple Reminder is available for iPhone and Android. Join the same space with a QR invitation or code to share reminders. Read the setup guide.
Will both of us get every alert?
Both partners can receive timed reminders when notifications are enabled for their devices and the space. Location alerts work differently: each phone is reminded when it enters a saved area. One partner arriving somewhere does not send an arrival alert to the other partner.
What works without an internet connection?
You can view and edit reminders already saved on your device. Changes sync when you reconnect; your partner will not see an offline edit until it has synced. Creating or joining a shared space needs an internet connection.
How is our data handled?
Shared reminders and space membership are synced through service providers so members can access them. The app also uses advertising and notification providers. No email or password signup does not mean that no data is processed. Read the privacy policy.
