Troubleshooting
Notifications not working
- Check that notifications are enabled for Couple Reminder in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Couple Reminder → Notifications).
- Ensure "Do Not Disturb" mode is not blocking notifications.
- On iOS, verify that Background App Refresh is enabled for the app.
- On Android, check that battery optimization is not restricting the app.
Location-based reminders not triggering
- Make sure location permissions are set to "Always" (iOS) or "Allow all the time" (Android).
- Verify that the saved location coordinates are correct on the map.
- Note that geofence triggers may have a slight delay depending on your device and network conditions.
- If you're inside a large building, GPS accuracy may be reduced. Try widening the geofence radius.
Can't join a shared space
- Make sure your partner's QR code is clearly visible and well-lit when scanning.
- Check that both devices have an internet connection when joining for the first time.
- If the QR code is damaged, ask your partner to regenerate it from within the app.
Reminders not syncing between partners
- Ensure both devices are connected to the internet.
- Try closing and reopening the app to trigger a sync.
- Check that both partners are in the same shared space.
